The Application Process

Advertisements for training will be published on Oriel. All posts will commence in August 2024.

Applicants will be required to submit one application only with the opportunity to indicate their first choice of training location at the time of application.  Applicants invited to attend the selection centre process will be invited to rank preferred programmes from all available at a later date in the process.

ST1 Posts

All ST1 posts will be recruited in accordance with the 2024 National ST1 person specification. Applicants should read the Essential Guidance - FAQs together with other specialty specific guidance available on these web pages. In particular, the criteria around eligibility are very specific and careful attention should be paid to these in advance of an application for public health specialty training.
