Vacancy, advert and application

Vacancy information is provided on the 2025 Occupational Medicine ST3 advert on Oriel.

Further information will be available at point of preferencing later in the process.

Applications will only be accepted through the Oriel Recruitment system between 10am on Thursday 14 November 2024 to 4pm on Thursday 5 December 2024.

Please be aware applications received after this time will not be accepted and there will be no exceptions to this.

Reasonable adjustments

The process for 2025 is to submit all reasonable adjustments requests at the time of your application and on Oriel. All evidence will be uploaded at the time you are submitting your application. Disability Confident Scheme

Please note the Disability Confidence Scheme (DCS) has replaced the previous Guaranteed Interview Scheme.

You will be asked to declare on your application form if you have a disability as set out in the Equality Act 2010 and whether you wish to be considered under the Disability Confident Scheme (DCS).

This information will not be available to shortlisting panels.

If you wish to be considered under the scheme, you will be asked to upload supporting evidence confirming that you have a disability to your application. Examples of evidence that can be provided include:

  • Letter from your GP or the medical specialist treating your condition
  • Letter or report written by an Occupational Health physician
  • Educational psychologist report

The signatory of the evidence must have a relevant professional relationship with you.

Eligibility and longlisting

The eligibility criteria for Occupational Medicine ST3 is listed on the 2025 Occupational Medicine Person Specification and all applications submitted will be assessed against this. Any applications not meeting the eligibility criteria will be longlisted out of the process and will not progress to the next stage.

Supporting eligibility documentation must be submitted with the Oriel application form at the time of application when prompted. Depending on your training background you may need to submit a copy of your ARCP or a Certificate of Completion of Common Professional Capabilities. Please refer to the person specification for further information regarding this.

During longlisting the National Recruitment Office will review all applicants GMC status, competency level and documentation, career progression, and fitness to practice declarations along with all other eligibility criteria stated on the 2025 Occupational Medicine Person Specification. Please be aware that by allowing applicants to progress to the next stage, the National Recruitment Office does not accept or confirm that applicants meet all eligibility requirements and applicants may still be withdrawn from the application process at any stage.
