The deadlines for Specialty Recruitment Round 1 have been extended it has been confirmed today.

Last month we outlined our plans to manage the 2025 MSRA sittings in light of the predicted increase in applications to the specialties that use the Multi-Specialty Recruitment Assessment (MSRA).

For the 2026 sub specialty training recruitment, all applications for post CCT training into Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) will be managed by local providers.

We are anticipating a rise in the number of applications to medical speciality training recruitment Round 1 for 2025 which opens on 24 October 2024.

Following urgent downtime on Friday 19 July 2024 to fix an Oriel infrastructure issue, we have been informed by the Oriel supplier Hicom that there were issues with data restoration and the back-up files were corrupted during this process. 

A number of regional public health recruitment events/taster days will be held for school leavers, students and others to find out more about careers in public health.
