East Midlands
East Midlands Public Health Taster Day: Introduction to Public Health Specialty Training
A free taster day covering the public health specialty training application process for candidates from both medical and non-medical backgrounds. Attendees will hear about career paths available through specialty training across the NHS, local authorities, health protection, global health and academia, and hear first-hand accounts from current public health registrars and consultants about day-to-day training and practice

Public Health Specialist Training Taster Day
This interactive event offers an opportunity to hear from current trainees and experienced public health consultants working across local authorities, health protection, the NHS and academia. Through practical group activities, public health scenarios and an application Q&A, you will gain insight into the breadth of public health practice, the skills required for the profession, and the process of applying for specialist training and provide an opportunity to speak directly with trainees, consultants and training leads.
