Important notice – change to way applicants can apply to post CCT sub specialty training in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM)

For the 2026 sub specialty training recruitment, all applications for post CCT training into Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) will be managed by local providers.

Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) training places will no longer be advertised as part of the national recruitment process.

National subspecialty recruitment into Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) is co-ordinated by NHS England (East of England) on behalf of the United Kingdom and they will now only appoint to pre CCT training programmes.

Any post CCT training opportunities that do become available will be advertised by local providers and interested applicants are encouraged to keep an eye out for these adverts on the NHS jobs website.
