Certificate of Readiness

You may be required to submit a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST) with your application

Important: Important

Please ensure you check the guidance carefully to confirm the appropriate method to demonstrate your foundation competence. 

Due to the volume of applicants requiring a CREST, it is not possible for recruitment teams to check your form for errors before submission.

If you are required to submit evidence of competence, for example a Foundation Programme Certificate of Completion (FPCC) or a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST), with your application, and do not do so then you will not be offered another opportunity to upload it and your application will not proceed to the next stage of the process.

For 2027 recruitment only the 2024 and 2027 versions of the CREST form will be accepted. If you provide a 2024 CREST form, you must ensure it remains valid and meets the published 2027 eligibility requirements for the specialty you are applying for.

From 2028 recruitment, the 2024 version will no longer be accepted.
