Scoring overview
You will be able to see a summary of your scores and your overall ST1 Obstetrics and Gynaecology rank via your Oriel account once initial offers have been released.
Please refer to the timeline.
Multi-Speciality Recruitment Assessment (MSRA) bypass score
The top 75 ranked applicants based on total MSRA score will achieve the bypass. These applicants will not need to attend the online interview in order to be eligible for an ST1 Obstetrics and Gynaecology offer.
For example, the applicant with the highest MSRA bypass score will be ranked first. The applicant with the highest MSRA and online interview score ranked 76th.
Where there are tied MSRA scores for bypass applicants, then they were split using the following order of priority.
- Clinical Problem Solving paper
- Professional Dilemmas paper
MSRA by pass applicants will be able to see a summary of their raw MSRA scores and their overall ST1 Obstetrics and Gynaecology rank via your Oriel account prior to offers being released. Due to the way Oriel works, you will also see 0 scores next to MSRA weighted scores and for the online interview stage. Please disregard these scores as they are not relevant to your application.
MSRA and online interview applicants
You will be able to see a summary of your raw and weighted MSRA scores and online interview scores as well as your overall ST1 Obstetrics and Gynaecology rank via your Oriel account after initial offers have been made.
Your final MSRA and online interview score is out of a maximum of 150 (50 marks from the MSRA, 100 marks from the online interview). Please note that the highest scoring applicant who attended the online interview will be ranked after the lowest scoring MSRA bypass applicant. The highest ranked applicant who attended interview will be ranked around 76th overall.
Appointability
In order to be found appointable, you will need to have met a minimum score of 50% on the online interview (50/100). Applicants whose responses to the clinical prioritisation exercise cause serious concern about patient safety may also be found unappointable regardless of their overall scores. Applicants who have not met the appointability threshold will see that their Oriel application status changes to Interviewed Unsuccessful.
